For most people every morning is pretty much the same with the same routine, but in reality every morning is not the same as it provides a brand new day and an experience with the Lord. Every morning we should wake up and begin our day with prayer and meditation with God and then finish off with a couple of chapters of His Word. We should seek to still ourselves in the presence of the Almighty first thing in order to start our day off right.

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up.” (Psalm 5:3 NKJV).

When we start our day off by praising His name and being filled with His Holy Spirit, we then are able to face the fiery attacks from the devil and surrounding world filth. We then put on our shield of faith first thing and are properly equipped to go into battle. Even Jesus went and commune with the Father first thing in order to be prepared properly for the new day ahead.

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” (Mark 1:35).

Let us grab our morning Joe and start our day right with greeting the Lord first thing and spending quality time with Him. For those that have kids (like us), then wake up before them and get your day started before they start their day. Do not neglect the new day and new beginning God grants us every morning we wake up, because it is a blessing and should be treated as such. Are you spending quality time with the Lord each morning?

  1. I agree. Early morning is my best time to commune with God. My head is not filled with daily doings. I am able to rejoice without worldly interference. I feel the wakening of the Holy Spirit in me as I praise and worship my Lord. Thanks for sharing your message.
